Therapeutic Apheresis Nurse, Full-Time

The Therapeutic Apheresis Nurse allows for a balance between patient care and working with donors.  The ability to learn to use apheresis machines to treat patients, collect stem cells and other product.  Most importantly you will help save lives.
  • Four (4) eight hour days on first shift – 6am –6pm  - based on scheduled procedures  
  • Average of 32 hours weekly
  • On-call and weekend rotation can occur when we have unscheduled procedures to help our patients, but is limited
Training is done at the Grand Rapids Donor Center, but mostly you will be out in the hospitals shadowing another RN.   We want you to really understand this position and give you our best training.

You need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or RN Diploma in Nursing required
  • Valid Registered Nursing license required per designated state
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse
  • BLS Certification required
  • Valid Driver’s License required for designated State and access to a vehicle
  • 1 year clinical acute care nursing experience preferred
  • Experience in blood transfusion preferred
  • 1 year apheresis experience preferred
  • Critical care, hematology, oncology, and/or dialysis nursing experience preferred
