What you can expect in this position:

  • Transporting equipment and supplies
  • Driving company vehicle in a safe manner
  • Loading/Unloading; setting-up and tear down equipment at the mobile site
  • Performing Medical Histories and appraises/determines donor suitability
  • Packing supplies and equipment for mobile drives
  • Preparing blood and specimen tubes for transport and storage

Why become a Driver with the BloodCenter of Wisconsin?

You need:

  • Experience driving a large vehicle
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of customer service or patient service experience preferred
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clear driving record
  • Available to work a varied schedule (any time between 4:00 am to 10:00 pm: rotating weekends)

TRAINING

To get you started on your journey with us, we begin with a six week training program. This includes four weeks of classroom training and two weeks of mentorship with an established phlebotomist. This training takes place in Milwaukee, WI.

 

SCHEDULING

Our donor center and mobile drive hours are based on being available for our donors. To ensure coverage, this position requires flexibility on the part of our entire team.

 

Hours: Available as early as 4:00 am and as late as 10:00 pm; Rotating weekends


Staff schedules are posted 3 weeks in advance
